I Am Not Saying Goodbye, I Am Saying Farewell

Today will be a very difficult day for me because I have to euthanize my dog, Murphy. You see, he was diagnosed with aggressive oral cancer and treatment was not an option.

Therefore, I am celebrating all the adventures we had in the past 7.5 years (I adopted him when he was 4yo).

Hiking the Boise foothills trails at Hillside to Hollow from Ussery.

Hiking Shady Side trail at Adams Gulch.

Getting on the Washington State ferry to Friday Harbor.

Boating in Henderson Bay at Gig Harbor.

Trips to Ketchum and staying at Knob Hill Inn (they allow dogs).

Road trip to Big Sky Country in Montana.

Road trip to Salt Lake City.

Road trips to McCall.

The side eye, the gazes, the couch cuddle.

Swimming at every water hole or Boise River.

I will have another piece of my heart broken but my memories will keep Murphy close by.

  3. I am so so sorry. Those words don’t express it. People who don’t know do not get that they are like having a human best bud in your home, in your bed, under your feet. Sending safety and huge huggs to you.
