Woke up last Saturday to numerous notifications about bombing Iran including a children’s school, killing up to 150. One Hundred Fifty. Multiple US bases in the region. Now we enter a second week.
Numerous problems which top of mind are MAGA targets of Muslim places of worship and community spaces from Los Angeles to New York City.
So, what will this action do?
- Raise oil prices across the world
- Sanctions against the United States for war crimes
- Threat of multi-week to longer conflict
- Condemnation from our European allies
- Condemnation from the United Nations
- Condemnation from NATO
- Condemnation from Muslim countries for aggression during Ramadan
- Undermining international peace and security
- Undermining peace talks that were in progress
Trump and Netanyahu don’t get to “decide” that their way is the only way. Negotiations takes listening to BOTH sides.
Granted, Iran has always been in conflict with their surrounding neighbors. I just want to know why everyone did not commit to peaceful talks before pulling the trigger.
There is no clear endgame. No valid intelligence. Congress needs to stop this madness.
Unfortunately, they will not.
