What Has America Lost?

With a devastation loss for democracy in America, we are now looking at another four gruesome years of chaos under a second Trump administration. Let’s face it, Trump is an amoral man. He lacks values, empathy, compassion, leadership.

So, what has America lost in the wake of this election?

For starters, America is no longer a global superpower. Putin’s disinformation campaign worked on gullible Americans that simply do not fact check.

America can no longer be trusted with the likes of Trump’s cabinet picks who are called comrades in Russia. Comrades. And these are people that would not pass a FBI background check.

America has shown the world we don’t deserve to be respected because Trump does not care about treaties nor our allies. He will hand over Ukraine to Putin and he will let Netanyahu do whatever he wants in Gaza. So much for the protest voters. Racism is rampant here now, too.

Trump clearly lied about his involvement in Project 2025. It is a real shame that most Americans never read it nor looked into the plans. I did read the report as much as I could tolerate, and I follow a few folks online on Substack that explain it in detail. America will lose education programs, veteran’s health benefits, defense departments, wiping out of environmental protections, the dismissal of the Affordable Health Care Act along with scientific studies, HUD will talk a hit when they privatize Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They essentially plan on reversing all of President Biden’s accomplishments.

Right now, Trump is refusing to sign a legally required ethics pledge for his incoming transition team, his cabinet picks, his staff. This pledge is to avoid conflicts of interest. It is also a vehicle for transparency, accountability and public trust. I suppose they don’t care because they have their own agenda.

Last but not least, they want to use the US military to conduct their mass deportation plans. What could possibly go wrong?
