So much angry rhetoric in America. It’s makes me profoundly sad that we have come to this. Fact checking is an art if you want to know the truth, otherwise it’s all opinion to suite one’s taste.
That in itself is dangerous.
The former guy killed a bipartisan border and immigration bill from the Senate so that Biden would not achieve a successful win all for the R’s opportunity to campaign on the border. The former guy is back at name calling to immigrants and asylum seekers that are leaving dangerous countries for the safety of their families. When did Americans lose their compassion?
Speaking of immigrants, what do you think our nation would look like with mass deportation? Entire industries would be affected starting with farm labor to hospitality industry in all sectors. You can forget about traveling or going out for a meal.
Healthcare is a right in other nations and now ours. The GOP wants to eliminate our rights. Starting on Page 450 of Project 2025, their goals are so conservative that they will make biological status the rule of law, abolish women’s healthcare right to an abortion should there be a pregnancy complication, gender identity a crime. They claim they will empower patient choices but that means market based and privatized.
Get this: Goal #3 is Promoting Stable and Flourishing Married Families. Think abolishing no fault divorce, even when a woman is abused. And abuse isn’t only physical, it’s emotional, verbal and financial.
Next Pandemic? Ah, they don’t care. No masks, no lockdowns, no vaccine mandates in workforce. They blame the “colossal disruption of the economy.†HELLO! It was a global pandemic! So, in their minds, the science of protection is a nonstarter.
Goal #5 is “Greater Transparency†for HHS. Getting rid of pharmaceutical funding is a good idea however because of my past work in breast cancer research funding, it is essential to researchers and their work. There can be a way to get the costs down, but that’s up to people working together in that industry to come up with a plan that both parties and consumers can agree to. Eliminating the FDA is dangerous.
I did not expect my blog post today to be more about healthcare, but here we are. I am reading Project 2025 and following Americans that care about democracy.
Bottom line: Republicans want to legislate our lives, Democrats want to support our lives.

Hopefully the majority of Americans will vote to support the constitution and allthough the weeks after election may be worse than Jan 6th. Finally the courts can take over and put the wannabe Hilter behind bars. Just like Hitler in the 1930’s Trump has a huge number of enablers and they need to hang their collective heads in shame.
As for the future of politics in the US, the race should be won by the popular vote not the college electorial system which invites corruption. The other thing that needs to happen is super pacs need to be banned so that wealthy corporations and billionaires can no longer attempt to buy the election.
