I have been at a loss the past few weeks and I think I am actually simply overwhelmed with the news lately. Yes, I know, I should not go online or watch television. However, I am a Realtor® and I have to be informed.
So, you ask, what have I done lately to scale it back?
First of all, and this is for me, I don’t look at local news on television until after my workday. But in the mornings, I do take a look at a few local or regional websites that feature business articles worth noting. I have to be in the know about developments, both residential and commercial, in order to provide information for my clients or inquiries.
I am taking the time to meditate at least 10 minutes in the mornings. This truly helps my head for the day.
I still hike every day with my dog, but if the trails are wet from an overnight rain or snow, I stretch, do core work, then TRX. I love my TRX here at home!
At lunch time, I take a break and look for interesting recipes I can try in the future. Going on plant-based diet has been far more rewarding than I thought possible. Call me a vegetarian if you will.
In the evenings, I chill as best as I can. Despite the fact that I am single, I still cook for myself each night. It’s my treat to myself. I listen to audio books or make an attempt to draw. Drawing and painting with watercolors turned out to be my COVID hobby!
Oh yeah, and during the day I work! Didn’t want all of you to think I am a slacker…
And, last but not least, I am planning a trip to Paris. By myself. For two weeks. I’m told the fall is a great time. Suggestions appreciated!

I’ve been to Paris many times, including a 2-month stay as well as one week+ trip on my own bouncing from hotel to hotel as I checked them out for reviews for a travel book. The weather is certainly cooler in the Fall (duh!), but far less crowded. Feel free to let me know if you’d like to chat about Paris.
