It’s time for Neighborhood Housing’s annual event, Paint the Town™, which is Saturday June 11, 2011.
Some of you may want to know more about this event, and I am here to fill you in! First of all, Paint The Town™ originated in 1983 to help senior & disabled homeowners who could neither physically manage nor afford routine maintenance & repairs to their homes. The Paint the Town™ event impacts thousands of residents and volunteers annually and revitalizes neighborhoods throughout Southwest Idaho, advocating community investment at the neighborhood level.
What does Neighborhood Housing Services do for you and our community? NHS mission statement says it quite clearly, “to lead creative housing solutions for underserved populations through strategic partnerships that contribute to building stronger communities”. Giving that some thought, basically what NHS does is to provide education, housing and assistance programs. NHS offers Foreclosure Prevention Counseling, Community Home Loan Programs, Home Buyer Education Center, Affordable Housing services for those in need, and coordinates Paint the Town™ and Rake Up Boise™ annually.

I am personally challenging real estate and affiliate offices that belong to the Ada County Association of REALTORs® to participate in the Buy-A-Bucket drive for 2011. Let’s give this event a boost so that we can help our community!
