The Treasure Valley woke up evenly coated in ice this morning. I’ve lived here for 16 years and never have I seen weather like this. This wasn’t a little bit of ice. Rather it coated every car like an extra layer of skin, made garbage bins into ice sculptures and gave Idaho drivers a new challenge to overcome. It also slowed me down long enough to appreciate Idaho weather.
I consider myself lucky to have the chance to enjoy all four seasons in their own distinct glory. Winter weather, while it brings a bit of inconvenience with it, provides for fantastic outdoor recreation and adds to the beauty that makes Idaho unique. It also provides opportunity for neighbors to help neighbors.
No matter the weather where you are, take a moment and enjoy today for what it is! And perhaps, reach out to someone and lend a hand.
